The success of the built environment is dependent on good design. Yet the NPPF makes little mention of design and its relationship to the planning process. This panel event explores the relationship between planning and design within the English planning system. It looks to the importance of good design in steering a scheme through the planning system and its impact on the successful delivery of new schemes.
