Planning Futures Supper Club – Graeme Craig, Chief Executive, Places for London
Transport for London is one of London’s biggest landowners. With over 5,500 acres of land, much of it located within proximity of major transport hubs, it is well placed to help London to meet its development need over the coming decades.
Places for London, its commercial property company, is charged with leveraging the TfL estate to deliver new commercial development and housing for Londoners, whilst providing a steady, increasing and sustainable stream of revenue to be invested in the transport network.
Through a wide portfolio of projects, the company is actively shaping the future of the Capital by creating new sustainable, vibrant and connected places.
Featuring an after-dinner speech from its chief executive, Graeme Craig, this edition of the Planning Futures Supper Club will explore the work of Places for London as it seeks to build 20,000 new homes across London.
In his speech, Mr Craig will outline the role of the organisation as a placemaker and will share his experience of working in partnership with local authorities, developers and infrastructure providers to negotiate the complexity of developing high quality places for London.
Following the usual Supper Club format, Mr Craig’s speech will be followed by a relaxed discussion amongst attendees.
